I find paint viscerally delicious, yummy, and totally addictive. Don’t you?!  Although a parent can't say they have a favorite child, an artist can.  Sugar is one of my absolute favorites.

🍬Just like sugar, this painting is addictive to me.  I can find so many nuances in it with every glance:  the EAR, oh the ear (!!!), the delicate strands of hair on the nape of the neck, the cool green broken lines along the veins.

Look closely to find specks of cadmium orange in the ear, the violets and pinks in the shadow beneath her eye, and cool greys surrounding the follicles of her hair.

This one's special, friends.

This piece is a star in a galaxy of awesome paintings.

17 pieces were created around a common theme: Eye Traps

Inspired by a strict guide by a religious cult, The IBLP (The Institute of Basic Life Priniciples), of appropriate dress and presentation for women, I set out to create a tapestry of oil paintings on fabric.  Each woman is unique but they also work together as an amazing visual quilt.  They're bright, beautiful, introspective, and most importantly autonomous.

Sugar is varnished for aesthetics and longevity.

She is lovely unframed but would look stunning in a floating frame, too.
