(c) Ashley Gilbert Bamboozle Tea Lounge, located at 109 N. 12th Street in the Channelside District of Tampa will be exhibiting the art of Ashley Gilbert in her solo show, “Situational Awareness.” Ashley’s art will be exhibited October 2 through November 6, 2014. A native Floridian, Ashley is a current graduate student at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, where she is pursuing her MFA Degree. Ashley is “obsessed with color.” She paints highly saturated pieces “that juxtapose beautiful disasters with everyday activities.” Her work is sensual, humorous and visually arousing. Having taught drawing and creative design for many years in Ormond Beach, FL, she is an accomplished artist whose exuberant talent explodes from her canvases. Her work has also been shown at the Art Center Sarasota, Tampa Bay Times Forum and Singing Stone Gallery. Additionally, she is an emerging artist with collections at Florida Southern College.
