Commissions are OPEN for Summer 2020!

Hey friends and art lovers!

SUMMER COMMISSIONS ARE OPEN FOR 2020!

It's that time of year again, where I open up my Summer Commission to draw and paint your beautiful faces!

I am only able to accept a handful of commissions this summer and am already booking up. So if you've always wanted to commemorate a special person in your life, or you want to celebrate yourself (like Deanna in the image below did #breastcancersurvivor)

Where do I start?

A commissioned work of art is a deeply personal collaboration that begins with a conversation, either by e-mail or phone. Because I believe in the uniqueness and individuality of a single person, one painting/drawing focuses on one individual. As a general rule, I don't paint group portraits, but would love to create several mini-paintings that could be hung as a group! I work from reference photos, sometimes a batch of several photos. Not all photos are created equal and I will work with you to determine what photos work best.**

A 50% deposit is required to get started on your drawing/painting, which can be paid using cash, credit, or check, after we've determined a vision for the work. I create a rough oil sketch and work out the best composition for your painting. I send progress photos along the way to ensure you are 100% satisfied! A 2.9% processing fee is req'd for cc purchases.

How long does it take?

Upon receipt of the deposit, commissions take about 8 weeks to complete depending on the size and complexity of a work. I often have a waiting list, so it is suggested to reserve your spot a few months in advance. As a general rule, smaller works are created faster (8 weeks) and larger works can take much longer. I work diligently with all clients to keep them abreast of deadlines and give them clear expectations up front.
